David Agustí is a graduate in law and holds a masters in legal practice from Pompeu Fabra University. He specialises in labour and social security law and is a member of the Bar Association of Barcelona.
He provides advice in all aspects of labour relations, his main field of activity being advising companies on employment issues and litigation and representation before the courts. He is an expert on collective bargaining with employees' representatives (negotiation of collective agreements, redundancies, substantial alteration of terms of employment, corporate restructuring, etc.) and on special employment contracts, in particular senior executives. He also provides representation in legal proceedings, both individual and collective, in industrial tribunals at all levels and proceedings before the labour inspectorate.
In the course of his professional career he has advised a number of large and medium-sized companies in different sectors of the economy, both Spanish and multinational, specialising in litigation before the industrial tribunals, collective bargaining and strategic advice in matters of labour relations, representing clients in high-profile individual and collective legal disputes.
He combines legal practice with teaching, giving regular classes on employment law at ESADE as an associate lecturer on the law degree course.
He is a member of the National Association of Labour Lawyers (ASNALA), the Spanish Labour Lawyers' Forum (FORELAB), AIJA (European Young Lawyers' Association) and the ACJD (Catalan Association of Democratic Jurists).
